Sippy Downs development sells out in one day
November 12, 2014
It’s official. Just 24 hours after launch, Stage One of the new Flame Tree Pocket development in Sippy Downs has recorded a complete sell-out.
Reed Property Group Sales and Marketing Manager Jason Kollanyi said he was thrilled by the positive response and welcomed the recent commencement of construction on-site.
“While we always expected the development would be popular, we could never have anticipated Stage One would be snapped up within a day,” Mr Kollanyi said.
“In the lead-up to the launch of Stage One we received an influx of expressions of interest, and it was really exciting to see many of these converted into sales as soon as the development was released to market.”
Mr Kollanyi said the record sales could be attributed to a number of factors including strong demand for centrally located residential lots offered at prices that many young families and first home buyers could afford.
“The project — having recently released land in Stage One starting from $155,000 and house and land packages starting from $320,000 — is located on the eastern side of the thriving community of Sippy Downs. While it continues to evolve, this area is already well serviced by existing community infrastructure, contains some of the Coast’s best schools and the University of the Sunshine Coast, connects to the giant Mooloolah River National Park and is close to some of the region’s most popular beaches,” Mr Kollanyi said.
“The Flame Tree Pocket community clearly ticks all the lifestyle boxes for many buyers, particularly young families and local first home owners.”
Mr Kollanyi said Reed Property Group had been entrusted to deliver on the vision of the land owners, Peter Crosby and his family, whose relationship with the Sunshine Coast dates back over a century.
“Peter and his family have owned and farmed this land for roughly five decades, and prior to that they owned and farmed the southern side of Buderim Hill (around the Crosby Hill Road area) so it is quite humbling to have been entrusted to deliver on the vision of such a long held landholding,” Mr Kollanyi said.
“The Crosbys shared our vision of creating a lively and welcoming residential community, and we can’t wait to bring the Flame Tree Pocket community to life and see the years of planning come to fruition.”
Mr Kollanyi said Reed Property Group had engaged fellow locals Shadforths as the civil contractors for the first stages of the project.
“The Shadforths team bring a wealth of expertise to the project and we’re delighted to be working with such a well-respected local company.”
Shadforths Civil Contractors Director Ray Shadforth said the company was thrilled to be involved in delivering on the vision held by Reed and the Crosby family.
“Flame Tree Pocket is a first class development and will provide a great living environment for many families,” Mr Shadforth said.
“We are working hard to ensure works are completed as quickly as possible to minimise the impact on the existing local community.”
Renowned local firm Tate Professional Engineers have also been appointed the civil engineers for the project.
Stage One of Flame Tree Pocket incorporates 44 lots of various sizes and is located on the corner of University Way and Red Cedar Street. Construction has recently commenced and it is anticipated land will be ready to build on towards the end of the first quarter of 2015. Stage Two consists of 37 allotments and will be released shortly.
