Developer HMR Projects has this week announced stage one of Sage Landing in Buderim is 90 per cent sold, with the company now preparing to launch the second stage of the development in the coming weeks to respond to the strong market demand.
HMR Projects Director Ken Reed said a project of this nature had been in the Reed family’s sights for many years, and he was thrilled to watch stage one coming to life as civil works were finalised in readiness for the commencement of construction before the end of March.
“We are delighted to have sold 12 of the 13 lots prior to commencing construction reinforcing our belief that this type of product is rare and therefore highly sought after in the Buderim market,” Mr Reed said.
“We’ve been developing projects in Buderim for decades so I was confident we had the right product to sell, the challenge has always been finding the right site on which to build and it’s taken close to 20 years to find this one.”
“To get a large, level site so close to the village is certainly unique, so while we could have accommodated over 60 townhouses on the land, we were keen to meet the demand for low maintenance, freehold homes within walking distance of Buderim’s shops and cafes.”
“This demand proved even stronger than we anticipated, with only one home remaining before construction of the actual homes has even commenced.”
“We’re delighted to have reached this milestone and look forward to releasing details of our second stage in the near future.”
Sage Landing purchaser and soon-to-be resident Graham White said having lived on an acreage property, he and his wife Merrybell had always known they would eventually need to downsize.
“We’ve lived in Buderim for 16 years and our intention was that if we were going to move, we would hope that we could remain in Buderim,” Mr White said.
“This opportunity arose and it was too good to miss. The design of the home is very practical and very functional, and the properties are freehold which is a big plus as far as we’re concerned.”
“We would never have expected that such an opportunity would come up.”
Mr Reed said the Whites weren’t the only Buderim locals who had jumped at the chance to live within walking distance of the village, with 10 of the 12 buyers hailing from the area.
“These residents have experienced Buderim’s village atmosphere and sense of community spirit first-hand, so it’s no surprise they’ve been the first to sign up for the stage one homes,” Mr Reed said.
“This development is very much aimed at owner-occupiers looking for their patch of paradise, and I think the sales status speaks for itself.”
“Given stage two has also been designed to suit downsizers, we’re hopeful interest will be just as strong when it is unveiled.”
Stage one of Sage Landing comprises 13 freehold lots ranging from 357m2 to 533m2 in size. The development is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just 10 minutes’ drive from Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland and Maroochydore beaches.
