Luxury apartments launched on Broadbeach
January 11, 2016
Forget 40-storey high rises.
The Gold Coast skyline is set to welcome a more understated — but no less opulent — residential enclave to the Broadbeach beachfront, with longstanding Queensland development company Reed Property Group officially launching the luxurious 13-level Astoria development.
Reed Property Group CEO Jay Emmerton said the company had recognised a need for more boutique beachfront residential accommodation in the Broadbeach area, and as such, had designed the new development to appeal to buyers seeking privacy and exclusivity.
“With just 16 apartments in the building, Astoria will harness the feel of a private resort and offer residents a range of exclusive amenities including an ocean-side pool and spa, barbeque area, recreational lounge and rooftop terrace with stunning 180-degree views stretching from Coolangatta to Stradbroke Island,” Mr Emmerton said.
“It’s rare to find a development of this size and calibre in this part of the Gold Coast, and we firmly believe there is substantial demand for this kind of private haven amidst the hustle and bustle of Broadbeach’s many cosmopolitan shops, cafés, restaurants and beaches.”
Mr Emmerton said the launch of Astoria marked the company’s expansion into the Gold Coast market following more than 25 years of operation across Queensland.
“Over the past few decades we have carried out a range of residential, commercial and hospitality projects in areas such as Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Mackay and Townsville, and we feel the time is now right for us to deliver an exclusive residential offering to the Gold Coast market,” Mr Emmerton said.
“With Broadbeach having recorded the Gold Coast’s biggest residential sale of the year following the purchase of a $8 million luxury penthouse and also reaping the benefits of the $1 billion redevelopment of Pacific Fair and Jupiter’s Hotel and Casino, it is evident the area is very much a Gold Coast hotspot at present.”
“We also recognise that Broadbeach boasts a range of core economic fundamentals that will ensure it remains a thriving hub and popular destination amongst Gold Coast locals and tourists alike over the long term, so we are confident property in the area will stay in strong demand well into the future.”
The beachside pocket has grown from just six permanent residents in 1949 to a population of over 7,500, while also attracting tourists from across the globe.
Mr Emmerton said he looked forward to receiving expressions of interest regarding the development and seeing the project come to life in the future under the trusted hand of Reed Property Group’s construction division, RCQ Construction.
Astoria incorporates 16 full-level and half-level apartments set against the iconic coastal backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. All apartments feature open-plan living, generously sized bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms and living areas, a spacious kitchen and practical outdoor spaces. The development is also located opposite Broadbeach’s patrolled sandy beach and just a short walk from Broadbeach Mall. Prices range from $1.3-$5 million, with an average price of $2.6 million (excluding the two-level, 385m² penthouse at $5 million).
Construction of Astoria is expected to commence in mid to late-2016 and to find out more or about the development or to lodge an expression of interest please visit www.astoriaonbroadbeach.com.au or call Shaun Bourke on 0404 649 537.
