Business breakfast to provide cost-saving strategies

July 20, 2015

Business owners and operators from across the Sunshine Coast will learn how to increase their business productivity and save thousands of dollars on electricity, water and waste management costs at a business breakfast being hosted by the Kawana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Thursday, 23 July.

The event — being held at the Brightwater Hotel — will see Kimberley Lynch of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) and Annie Nolan from ecoBiz Queensland outline strategies for business growth using sustainable, cost-saving ideas.

KCCI President Linda Delamotte said with more and more pressure being placed on small businesses, the event would focus on helping local business owners and operators to save money and increase their profit margins.

“The latest Sunshine Coast Business Confidence Survey indicated that rising overheads and utility costs are currently viewed as the biggest constraints on local businesses,” Ms Delamotte said.

“Over 50 per cent of respondents cited this as a concern, so as a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing essential services to local businesses, the Kawana Chamber committee felt this was an important area to address.”

“We anticipate event attendees will walk away with a range of tips for reducing day-to-day costs and enhancing the sustainability and profitability of their business.”

The KCCI business breakfast will take place between 7.00-8.30am on Thursday, 23 July at the Brightwater Hotel, 15 Freshwater St, Mountain Creek. Tickets cost $33 for members and $38 for non-members and include a hot breakfast. To book, please visit www.kawanachamber.com.au.
