Winter Wonderland dance with big band

June 8, 2011

Instead of watching “Dancing with the Stars” on TV, you could dance with the Big Band at the Sunshine Coast Concert Band’s next dance on Saturday, July 9 at the Kawana Community Hall in Buddina.

Ken Chadwick and his band of approximately 40 musicians will play foxtrots, quicksteps, Rock ‘n Roll, waltzes, Marilyn, gypsy tap and progressive Barn Dance, accompanied by singers Alan Winter, Rosie Camilleri, Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten.

The dance is BYO drinks, glasses and nibbles and guests are expected to party the night away. The last dance booked out early so bookings are essential. Tables which seat up to 12 people are prepaid at just $120 with individual tickets available at $15 each. To book please phone 5477 1037 or email ahwinter@optusnet.com.au.

The dance commences at 7.30 closes at 11pm and the Kawana Community Hall can be found behind the Library in Nanyima Street, Buddina.

Get out your dancing shoes, put on your party clothes and we’ll see you there!

Ends.
