Time to make some music!

Time to make some music!

January 23, 2011

How would you like to blow your own trumpet or any other wind instrument in a Big Band?

If you are a reasonably competent instrumentalist, the Sunshine Coast Concert Band would love to have you join them. The band of approximately 35 volunteers from across the Sunshine Coast will resume their Wednesday practices at 7.30pm on January 26 at their regular venue of the Kawana Community Hall, Nanyima St., Buddina. What better way to celebrate Australia Day!

This could be a good chance to fulfill a New Year’s resolution or to further a latent talent. Band members rehearse and play a wide variety of lively music for their series of charity concerts and dances.

So how about giving Music Director, Ken Chadwick a call on 5450 6680 and find out more about this wonderful opportunity.

Shhhh! ….. The band has just been awarded a “Quiet Achiever Group Award” for their contribution to local charities and people’s musical enjoyment. For more information, please visit the website www.sccb.org.au

Ends.
