The Town of Seaside comes of age

The beachside community of the Town of Seaside on Marcoola Beach certainly got people talking when it was first established some time ago and it continues to prosper with the recent addition of several impressive new developments including the luxury White Shells apartments.
The Town of Seaside ‘s carefully planned layout, traditional beach house designs and community feel reflect the all-American beach town of Seaside along the northwest coast of Florida , on which the local namesake was based.
Residents and local businesses such as the popular Franco’s Italian Restaurant, enjoy the quaint village feel which is what attracted White Shells’ developer, Terry Taylor to the region.
“There are very few places on the Sunshine Coast that enjoy beach frontage without having to contend with busy roads and that’s what makes the Town of Seaside such an excellent location,” said Mr Taylor.
“It is a thriving village which is ideally located close to shops, restaurants, the airport and the Maroochydore business hub, and yet when you can walk out of your front door and onto a pristine beach, the tranquillity is astounding.”
The beachside enclave also promises to offer investors and home owners an excellent return despite the slowing housing market. Recent research by market analysts, RP Data, saw Marcoola named as one of the 10 top hotspots outside Brisbane , coming in at No. 7 with 28.2% growth in the last year.
“Our research into the changing demographics and significant growth of the Sunshine Coast , coupled with the rapid economic expansion of Queensland as a whole, indicates that areas such as Marcoola will continue to boom,” Mr Taylor said.
“When looking for a location for luxury apartments different to anything else seen on the Sunshine Coast , we set very high standards with regard to beach access, privacy, access to amenities, potential investor returns and a strong sense of community. The Town of Seaside met all of these criteria and more.”
