A Sunshine Coast business is proving it can still provide fresh ideas after a decade and a half in the industry, celebrating a major milestone – its 15th birthday.

The team at Fresh PR & Marketing established themselves as forward-thinking, creative minds who have helped other businesses to thrive and transform over the years.

More than 100 people marked the celebration with a birthday bash at Vandy’s Garage in Buderim with the fitting theme of “fuelling fresh ideas” on Thursday 24 October.

Fresh PR & Marketing Co-director Maya Gurry said she is humbled by the sheer number of people who have shown them support over the last 15 years.

“We work side by side with remarkable people every day and when you get to see results for their businesses and how happy they are, is incredibly rewarding,” said Ms Gurry.

“We wouldn’t be celebrating this great milestone if it wasn’t for our great clients, suppliers and supporters who help us achieve great outcomes. While marketing is an enormous part of what we do for others, for Fresh it’s been all about repeat customers and referrals.

“The diversity of our services offering which includes everything from PR, marketing, event management, crisis management, digital and community engagement — as well as the range of clients we do them for is what keeps us fresh and passionate about what we do.

“And most importantly, we have a great team with many Freshies over the years who have all contributed to our success and we’ve loved working with all of them. We currently have five in the office including the very experienced Fresh dynamo Amber James, Jordan Koster who recently joined us from Nine News Sunshine Coast and our office manager, Jenna Harding who keeps us all on track.”

“We also work very closely with our design and digital guns who help us deliver fully integrated marketing and PR solutions tailor-made to suit.”

The PR guru Maya is the founding member, bringing international experience from Volkswagen in South Africa and Marks & Spencer in the UK to the Sunshine Coast when she arrived in 2003 and set up Fresh PR the following year.

The team became a dynamic duo eight years ago when Helen Perry joined the partnership with a wealth of experience in branding and marketing.

Since then they have gone from strength to strength working with dozens of local and national businesses like Gymnastics Queensland, Sunshine Plaza, the Queensland Garden Expo, Lendlease, McNab and HMR Projects.

Co-director Helen Perry said the business might be based in Marcoola, but they work with clients all across Australia.

“While most of our clients are South East Queensland based, we are always looking for new opportunities – this year alone we’ve been in Sydney for Estia Health up to Mackay for North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation,” said Ms Perry.

“It’s never been about building an empire — we’ve kept our team small and agile so we’re all working directly with our fabulous clients. This hasn’t stopped us from taking on some significant projects and we are always excited to take on big challenges knowing we can offer a world-class service.”

Fresh PR & Marketing is based in the Town of Seaside, Marcoola. For more information visit www.freshprm.com.au.
