Strong Market Prompts Stage 2 release
December 19, 2013
The rebound in the Sunshine Coast property market has prompted award-winning Brisbane developer Turrisi Properties to release Stage 2 of Kula at Mt Coolum.
Known as The Wave Series, the release comprises 10 architecturally designed townhouses with a mix of one, two and three bedroom configurations.
The developer’s confidence in the Sunshine Coast has been rewarded with early sales just days after the release to the market.
Turrisi Properties Development Manager, Will Hancock believes this is an indication that the property market on the Sunshine Coast is showing signs of recovery, which supports recent HIA figures.
“We are delighted with the response to The Wave Series which certainly indicates that property sales on the Sunshine Coast are moving back to stronger levels,” Mr Hancock said.
The Wave Series, which was designed by award-winning Base Architecture, range in price from between $298,000 and $455,000.
Located just a few minutes walk from the beach, all townhouses enjoy high ceilings, stainless steel appliances, stone benchtops and access to the 20-metre pool and barbeque area and most have courtyards and secure car accommodation.
Completed in 2011 Stage 1 of Kula was designed to target the weekender market and made a strong architectural statement within the Boardwalk Estate, a master-planned beachside community developed by Stockland.
“The first stage of the development was very well received in the market – particularly as modern townhouses that are walking distance from the beach and have access to resort-style facilities are few and far between at this price point.”
Recognising that the market has changed since Stage 1, Turrisi Properties has altered the design of Stage 2 to appeal to owner occupiers and long-term investors.
Aside from the strong rebound in buyer sentiment, Mr Hancock said that Turrisi Properties was a strong believer in the Sunshine Coast’s future.
“Kula at Mt Coolum is our first development on the Sunshine Coast and given the significant investment in infrastructure planned for the Coast in the coming years, we anticipate the region will enjoy some positive growth going forward,” Mr Hancock said.
