Stockland has launched Halcyon Coves, a land lease community designed for over 50s, located in the award-winning Stockland Aura masterplanned community on the Sunshine Coast.

Halcyon Coves is the sixth land lease community on the Sunshine Coast following the success of Halcyon Parks at Caloundra, Halcyon Landing and Halcyon Lakeside at Bli Bli, Halcyon Nirimba also located at Aura, and B by Halcyon at Buderim.

Halcyon Coves is located along the northern edge of the Bells Creek South conservation area, a short drive to beaches and the Glass House Mountains. Upon completion, the community will span 20 hectares and include 431 architecturally designed homes.

There will be several centrally located resort-style facilities in the Halcyon Coves community, including a lagoon-style pool and clubhouse, pickleball courts, community gardens and bowling green. It will also feature a communal hub known as ‘The Horizon’ – a state-of-the-art recreation precinct for entertainment, creativity, health and wellness.

Halcyon Coves will launch its first release in June 2024.

Stockland Project Director Andrew Astorquia said Stockland Halcyon’s award-winning land lease communities have been transforming lifestyle living for more than 17 years, with 21 communities either established or in development across Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, and New South Wales.

“Our vision at Stockland is to be the leading creator and curator of connected communities, and this is underpinned by our purpose – a better way to live. Halcyon Coves combines the best of the Sunshine Coast lifestyle with resort-quality living,” Mr Astorquia said.

“The community is masterplanned around six distinct sub-neighbourhoods giving, homeowners the opportunity to connect and stay active through various walkways, as well as the immediate connection to Aura’s 200 kilometre-plus network of cycle and footpaths.

“From evenings at the bar and pickleball matches, to a game of pool with neighbours, painting, catching a movie or just reading a book in the library, every style and taste is catered for,” Mr Astorquia added.

Homes in Halcyon Coves will have a 7-star Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) rating and homeowners can benefit from the low maintenance, lock-up-and-go lifestyle each home offers.

Mr Astorquia said as Aura continues to grow, there has been interest from multiple generations of families looking to live in closer to one another.

“As one of the largest masterplanned communities, Aura provides a range of housing options – from first homeowners through to large family homes and, with the addition of our Halcyon communities, those looking to downsize,” Mr Astorquia said.

“Aura is a thriving community with a number of great schools, shopping, dining, recreational activities and essential services, and homeowners at Halcyon Coves will have convenient access to these facilities too.”

The land lease model gives customers the opportunity to free up capital with no hidden costs, stamp duty or deferred management fees, and homeowners retain all capital gains.

The launch of the Halcyon Coves community follows the recent recognition of Stockland’s B by Halcyon, in nearby Buderim, as Australia’s ‘Best in Seniors Living,’ at the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) National Awards for Excellence.

Halcyon Coves’ upcoming information session on 30 May 2024 is now fully booked, though individual appointments with a sales professional are available starting in June 2024.
