Buderim’s most centrally located freehold home and land development is clocking up the milestones, with Sage Landing developers HMR Projects reporting the project is now 60 per cent sold.
HMR Projects Director Ken Reed said a spike in sales over the past three weeks had brought the total number of homes sold to eight of 13, with enquiries showing no signs of slowing down.
“Interest has been particularly strong amongst existing Buderim residents who are looking to downsize from larger properties or acreage, and we’re thrilled to see the development resonating so closely with long-term locals,” Mr Reed said.
“We initially had a few Buderim-based buyers come on board and it hasn’t taken long for others to recognise the development meet the needs of those that genuinely love the village lifestyle, with every single buyer to-date hailing from the Buderim area.”
“Freehold, level blocks with manageable size dwellings are difficult to come by within walking distance of the Buderim high street, so we knew we had the right formula when we found this parcel of land.”
Ray White Buderim Real Estate Agent Lew Pottinger said the spike in sales could be attributed in part to the flurry of activity taking place on-site.
“Civil works are well and truly underway and we’re looking forward to commencing construction of the homes themselves later this year,” Mr Pottinger said.
“We estimate the first residents could be moving in as early as mid-2018, and expect the remaining five lots will sell quickly.”
For Sage Landing buyer Carol Blacklaw and husband Tom, it was the smaller, low maintenance properties that drew them to the development.
Ms Blacklaw acknowledged that until the launch of Sage Landing there hadn’t been many more manageable options available in the heart of Buderim.
“We’ve always loved the Buderim area and the lifestyle it offers and we knew a large family home was no longer something we needed or wanted — particularly when considering the extra maintenance and upkeep involved,” Mrs Blacklaw said.
Sage Landing is situated in a secluded cul-de-sac just minutes’ walk from the cafés, shops and restaurants on Buderim high street, and offers low maintenance gardens as well as both single-level, low set homes and larger, double-storey contemporary floorplans.
