Ross Greenwood to headline SC Expo

February 6, 2013

Organisers of one of the Coast’s premier business events, the Sunshine Coast Business and Workstyle Expo, today announced popular finance guru, Ross Greenwood as the keynote speaker for the event at the Big Pineapple from 10-11 May.

Most will know Mr Greenwood, the Nine Network’s Finance Editor, for his regular appearances on the Today Show, Nine News and A Current Affair where his ability to demystify even the most complex business and finance principals make him a firm favourite.

Mr Greenwood was also editor of Business Review Weekly (BRW), Personal Investor and The Age’s money section, and as one of Australia’s most respected finance journalists he will bring with him a wealth of savvy business tips.

Ross Hepworth, President of the Maroochydore Chamber of Commerce which organises the Expo, says the team are delighted to have Mr Greenwood confirmed as a keynote.

“Ross Greenwood is one of the most respected and well-known business spokespeople in Australia and to have him coming to the Coast is great news for local businesses,” Mr Hepworth said.

“Mr Greenwood’s presentation will also focus on this year’s expo workstyle theme to drive businesses to gain a competitive advantage, efficiency and profitability through the adoption of new technologies. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn more about what’s available or a seasoned workstyle operator, this component is sure to add a valuable dimension to our business expo.”

To further explore the concept of workstyle, Expo organisers have also secured Dr Dean Alle to present an information session at the event. Sydneysider, Dr Alle has recently taken up the Entrepreneur in Residence position at the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast and is a business coach, mentor and workstyle guru. His presentation will help business people from across the Coast better understand the concept and the supporting technologies and services available to them.

Mr Hepworth believes the demand for information such as this has been overwhelming; however, businesses will still benefit from all the usual features the Expo offers to both exhibitors and those attending the event.

“While the inclusion of workstyle will add to the content of workshops and seminars, the Expo will still attract local businesses from all industries to network, learn powerful business growth strategies, access a comprehensive pool of business knowledge, showcase their businesses, services and products and develop valuable partnerships over the two-day period,” Mr Hepworth said.

Sunshine Coast Business and Workstyle Expo major sponsors include platinum sponsor Sunshine Coast Daily and gold sponsors Sunshine Coast Council and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.

Organisers encouraged those still considering attending as exhibitors to register their interest before Friday, 8 February to take advantage of the Early Bird special which ends this week. For more information on the Expo, please visit www.scbizexpo.org.au or call Mary-Ann on 5443 5661.

Ends.
