Sunshine Coast-based construction company RCQ Construction is celebrating a big win with Riviera Mackay being awarded the best residential building in the state — within the high-rise, over three storey, over $20 million category — at this weekend’s Master Builders Queensland Housing and Construction Awards in Brisbane.

RCQ Construction General Manager Gavin Wuiske said the award was testament to the hard work and dedication of all those who were involved with the project and congratulated North Queensland Manager Justin Stainton and his team.

“It’s thanks to the exceptional team we have at RCQ Construction that we are able to build award-winning developments so I’m delighted they have been recognised at this year’s night-of-nights for Queensland builders,” Mr Wuiske said.

“Our ongoing commitment to using local tradies and suppliers has seen us build excellent relationships over the past three decades which helps us achieve great outcomes for our clients, so I’d also like to extend a big thank you to all those who worked with us to make this possible.”

“Awards nights such as the prestigious Master Builders Awards give us an excellent opportunity to pause and reflect on what we have achieved in the past 12 months.  Being recognised on first a local and now a state level gives us a great deal of pride in what we do and we look forward to the national awards in Canberra next month.”

“We have exciting times ahead at RCQ Construction with a number of projects nearing completion including First Light Mooloolaba, Altitude on Montville, Belise in Brisbane and the next stage of Stringybark Place in Sippy Downs.  We have also commenced a number of new projects in recent months including Baylife Apartments in Deception Bay, Pavilions Apartments at Annerly, the Majestic conversion of one cinema into three at C-Square Nambour, Illoura in Coolum and Lux and Aquiv in Brightwater, which are our first projects being delivered on behalf of Stockland.”

“We are also expanding our operations to the Gold Coast in readiness to commence construction of Astoria on Broadbeach later next year.”

As one of Queensland’s longest standing construction companies, RCQ Construction has successfully planned and delivered an extensive range of projects including major residential developments, gated communities, medium density apartments, retail centres and supermarkets, commercial offices, childcare centres and hospitality venues throughout  Queensland.

Employing more than 70 staff, RCQ Construction has offices on the Sunshine Coast, as well as in Brisbane, Townsville and Mackay and is responsible for the delivery of more than $100 million worth of projects each year.
