Queensland Garden Expo – 2007 to date
We pride ourselves in working with some of the Sunshine Coast’s most significant events to deliver comprehensive media campaigns and achieve national results valued at millions of dollars.
Since 2007 Maya and her team have been responsible for all media liaison on behalf of the Expo leading up to the event held annually in July as well as co-ordination of the Opening Ceremony. This includes a diverse range of media releases, co-ordination of images, organising media launches and opportunities, event management and co-ordinating all media requests.
In 2010 we worked with Marion at the Expo to brief and distribute a ‘little green army of gnomes’ to spread the word of the upcoming event. No doubt members of Big W’s purchasing department are still scratching their heads at the record sales of fluorescent green garden gnomes at their Sunshine Coast stores as a green army of over 50 made their way onto the desks of key newspaper, TV and radio journalists across the country.
The result? Phone calls and emails from a number of journalists thanking us for their little green friends, asking for more information and requesting interviews and additional photographs in the lead-up to the event. One of our greatest successes, a call from Seven’s Great South East saying our little green friend was the trigger to contact us when she needed a last-minute story. This coup resulted in fantastic coverage perfectly timed a week before the event.
In 2010 we achieved over $1 million worth of media coverage for the event which attracted over 27,000 people.
What our client said…
We have made a significant push over the past 5 years to increase brand awareness and our profile… Fresh PR has played an integral part in achieving this with solid media coverage in national and intrastate publications as well as exceptional local coverage. In 2010 the event received $1.1m coverage…
The team at Fresh PR have been extremely easy to work with and whilst presenting us with great ideas on how our media campaign could be run, they are also very receptive to our thoughts on the image we want to present. We look forward to working with them again in 2011 and into the future.
