Queensland company growing in leaps and bounds
November 4, 2013
Sunshine Coast-based dredging, civil contracting and marine civil company Hall Contracting has recently expanded its presence in the Queensland market, having opened a new office in Fortitude Valley that has generated employment for more than 70 local workers.
Hall Contracting Managing Director Cameron Hall said the new office opening marked a significant milestone for the family-owned business, which has grown from strength to strength since its establishment in the mid-1940s.
“With our presence in the Brisbane market growing steadily, we felt opening an office that was dedicated to servicing these local projects made good business sense,” Mr Hall said.
“The recent federal election has fuelled a resurgence of consumer confidence both in Brisbane and further afield, so we’re seeing plenty of civil construction projects kicking off across Queensland as a direct result of this.”
“With so many new projects on the boil, it felt like the right time to expand our team.”
Mr Hall said Hall Contracting was currently working on a range of projects in Brisbane and surrounds, including services and roadworks for the Airport Industrial Park Stage 1 and construction works for the Gable Marker Access Track at Brisbane Airport.
“We’ve also recently completed land development works on stages 5-7 of an aged care development in Queen St, Nudgee and have commenced works on a 50-lot subdivision located in Mango Hill,” Mr Hall said.
“The area from the Sunshine Coast right down to Brisbane is really hotting up right now.”
Mr Hall said while the construction sector had experienced limited growth over the past few years, there had certainly been a turn in the tide in recent months.
“It’s great to see so many new projects getting off the ground and we’re thrilled to have our new Brisbane team working on a number of these.”
Hall Contracting’s new Brisbane office is located at Wickham St in Fortitude Valley. To find out more about Hall Contracting, please visit www.hallcontracting.com.au or call (07) 5445 5977.
