Luxury living a stone’s throw from the ocean is exactly what Latitude Coolum Beach will be offering buyers when it starts construction in February and experts believe that’s exactly what holiday-makers in the region will be looking for this festive season.

North Shore Realty Principal Keith Blanchard said the team expected a surge in demand post-Christmas Day with the New Year traditionally bringing a sense of urgency to the market.

“We meet with a lot of people from Melbourne and Sydney who are here on holiday and keeping a watchful eye on luxury new builds for investment or holiday purposes,” said Mr Blanchard.

“And it won’t only be interstate or intrastate investors who will be interested in Latitude Coolum Beach, I anticipate many local downsizers will be weighing up their options in the new year and we always see strong demand for luxury apartments from this part of the market.

Latitude Coolum Beach is our closest development to the heart of Coolum — it’s actually stepping distance rather than walking distance from all amenities including the beach, boardwalks, restaurants, shopping, the surf club and cafes.”

A combination of breathtaking sea views, high-end quality finishes and only a limited seven apartments – including a penthouse with exclusive top floor access – is how North Shore Realty will introduce the $8 million development to potential buyers.

Latitude developer and Director of HMR Projects, Ken Reed said he was delighted to lock in the construction date for this prime piece of real estate.

“With Coolum full of holiday makers this festive season, I have no doubt that a site with such great access to one of the Coast’s best beaches will attract attention,” said Mr Reed.

“There has been great interest in Latitude with some early sales already secured; and with construction getting underway in February and completion expected in September, we expect buyers will jump at the opportunity to live in this great location.

“Most of the apartments enjoy Pacific Ocean views with the penthouse enjoying an expansive indoor-outdoor living space with views from the beach to the horizon. We’ve focused on achieving a contemporary design which still reflects the relaxed, beachside feel of Coolum without compromising on comfort and luxury.”

According to Realestate.com.au people are 40 per cent more likely to view properties in Coolum compared to the rest of the state, and more than twice as likely as in Maroochydore.

“New developments are successfully selling on the beachfront, I think this is evident of how strong the luxury apartment market is at the moment,” said Mr Blanchard.

“We are finding buyers aren’t suburb specific. They are looking at all new builds from Coolum to Cotton Tree, Maroochydore to Mooloolaba and Caloundra. Most beachside suburbs are being stacked up against each other and Coolum is really holding its own thanks to developments like Latitude Coolum Beach.”

Latitude Coolum Beach offers seven three-bedroom, two bathroom apartments – including the penthouse – with secure garaging on the ground floor. All apartments will have high quality finishes including timber flooring, Miele appliances, stone benchtops throughout and ducted air-conditioning.

The apartments range from 177sqm to 231sqm while the impressive penthouse on level five offers 259sqm of high-end living.

The apartments are priced from $869,000.
