Homeware heaven opens doors
April 3, 2014
Thousands of shoppers celebrated the arrival of the first Home Secret store in Australia when Mayor Mark Jamieson officially cut the ribbon to open the homeware megastore at Home Central in Kawana this morning.
Home Secret which adjoins one of Australia’s top performing Trade Secret stores will follow the same model as the clothing franchise in offering up to 60 per cent discount on some of the country’s most sought after homeware brands.
General Manager of Stores and Operations of the Trade Secret and Home Secret group, Matthew Mackenzie, said he was delighted with the turn-out this morning and the response from the Sunshine Coast public to date.
“We are excited to be launching a brand new concept store in a region that has supported us so well in the past through our Trade Secret stores in Kawana and Maroochydore,” Mr Mackenzie said.
“The overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers coming into the store this morning was fantastic and we anticipate a great weekend ahead as more people come to experience the new store for themselves.”
The store has an extensive range of home décor, gifts, furnishings, kitchen and dining goods, manchester, indoor and outdoor furniture and pet supplies.
‘If today’s reaction is anything to go by, we look forward to rolling out more Home Secret stores across Australia in the coming months,” Mr Mackenzie said.
“The Trade Secret story has been a great success since it was launched in 1992 on the Gold Coast, and the number of stores across Australia continues to escalate – we have four new stores opening before the end of this financial year taking the total up to 35. We are confident Home Secret will follow suit and are excited to be starting that journey with our loyal fan base here on the Sunshine Coast.”
The new Home Secret store is based at Home Central, Kawana Way, Birtinya, next door to the Trade Secret store. Face painting and other family activities will be offered on Saturday, 5 April and all shoppers visiting the store in the coming weeks will have the chance to win a $1,500 home makeover.
