Girls Night Out for a good cause

September 10, 2012

Two of Coolum’s most popular local businesses, The Caf Coolum and Watermelon Red are joining forces for a good cause when they host a ‘Girls Night Out’ in support of The McGrath Foundation on Wednesday, October 10.

Guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles at Watermelon Red between 5.30-6pm while they browse the VIP pop-up sale, benefit from 25% discount off all fashion and accessories and participate in a silent auction and raffles. The second part of the evening will see guests move across to the communal tables for tapas platters at The Caf Coolum to enjoy live music and a fashion parade.

Watermelon Red’s Briana Forster believes the ‘Girl’s Night Out’ initiative, now in its third year is a great opportunity for ladies to get together with their friends for a social and fun evening while contributing to a good cause.

“With one in nine women being diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 85, every woman is likely to be affected in some way, either personally or through a friend or family member,” said Briana.

“By getting all the girls together we can celebrate the good things in life while we make a contribution to something close to everyone’s heart, it’s a win-win and we look forward to a fantastic evening.”

$5 from all tickets sold will be donated to The McGrath Foundation who raise much-needed funding for Breast Care Nurses and their patients.

“The last two years have been a sell-out so we encourage our local ladies to round up their friends and book before it’s too late,” said Di Stevenson from The Caf Coolum.

“Join us for a great girls night out for a good cause – good food, great wine, live music, fashion and some retail therapy, the perfect night out!”

Tickets are $45 and can be purchased by calling Watermelon Red on 5473 9550. Tickets are not available at the door and should be purchased by October 5 unless sold out prior.

Ends.
