Future brides and grooms visit Noosa Expo

July 25, 2011

It was the perfect one-stop venue for budding brides-to-be with their grooms, family and girlfriends as they flocked to the it’s my wedding Expo held at Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort on Sunday.

Wedding suppliers from across the Sunshine Coast and as far afield as the Gold Coast, showcased their wedding ideas and wares in the beautifully decorated Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort. Excited brides pored over the two fashion parades which consisted of five ‘acts’ which displayed a diverse range of locally designed wedding gowns as well as fashion for the grooms, mother of the bride/groom and wedding party.

Expo organiser Dee Collins said the expo was a huge success and was delighted with the feedback from the brides-to-be attending as well as the exhibitors there on the day.

“We’re over the moon with how well the day went, the brides left with heads full of ideas, bags full of goodies and many with incredible prizes that were won during the day,” said Dee.

Lisa Webb of Tinbeerwah was thrilled when her name was pulled out of the bag to win the fabulous $2,500 Hummer Heaven Wedding package. The package includes five hours in a pink or white Hummer along with the red carpet (and red carpet treatment), uniformed chauffeur driver, champagne, light refreshments, music, lighting, all the ribbon trimmings plus a ‘Lisa and Dale’ personalised tyre cover. Lisa’s fiancé Dale works over in W.A. and was very excited at the prospect of enjoying Hummer time on their wedding day when he heard of the win.

Other prizes given away on the day included wedding gowns, videography and photographic packages, honeymoon accommodation, jewellery, corsage couture, skincare and fitness club prizes.

“With wedding couples being much more aware of the wedding costs, we were delighted to be able to offer prizes on the day that will really alleviate the financial pressure for the lucky couples, thanks to our wonderful sponsors,” said Dee.

In addition to all the classic elements of weddings, brides were shown what’s possible when it comes to creating their own unique and memorable wedding day.

Ends.
