Float for Fraser Coast RV village closes oversubscribed

The capital raising for Queensland ‘s first RV focused active lifestyle village RV HOMEBASE Fraser Coast has proven popular with investors, closing oversubscribed by more than $2million.
Investors recognised the opportunities offered by building a residential village that supported one of Australia ‘s fastest growing community sectors – the 390,000 strong caravan and motorhome community.
The capital raising, undertaken in conjunction with corporate advisers Wellington Capital, closed with a total $10.215 million in investment funds being committed, with a spread of small scale and sophisticated investors contributing to the total and a number of active RV owners included in the mix.
When complete, the $70million RV HOMEBASE Fraser Coast project will comprise a 210 home RV-focused residential village, complete with some $3 million in community facilities and the ability for residents to park a full size RV alongside their home in fully serviced, undercover RV ports.
The village is located just two minutes off the Bruce Highway in Maryborough, close to extensive local infrastructure and offering easy, rapid access to variety of Australia’s favourite holiday destinations.
Chairman of RV HOMEBASE Mr Peter Shadforth said the thorough planning of the project from the ground up contributed significantly to the solid investor support for the project.
“The success of the capital raising demonstrates the market interest in the vision, and gives us even greater financial strength to take on a project of this size and deliver residents an exceptional lifestyle precinct,” Mr Shadforth said.
“Now the float is successfully behind us and the capital is in the bank, it’s exciting to be able to focus on creating a residential alternative that is not currently available in Queensland , and bring the village to life,” he said.
A national release of new homes is being undertaken this month, and RV HOMEBASE Fraser Coast will be publicly launching the RV village at the 2010 Caravan, Camping and Touring Holiday Show in Brisbane from June 9-15.
