Brisbane developer rides its “Last Wave” at Kula

7 July 2014

Recent reports from Australian Property Monitors indicating the Sunshine Coast property market is continuing to strengthen couldn’t ring truer for Turrisi Properties, with the property developer announcing this week it will fast-track the launch of the final stage of Kula at Mt Coolum to meet unprecedented demand from buyers.

Turrisi Properties Development Manager Ben Jobber said the last 12 townhouses — known as The Last Wave — were now set for release on 2 August 2014.

The Last Wave will comprise 12 townhouses with a mix of two and three bedroom designs.

“While we’d originally planned to release Stage Four to the market just prior to Christmas, the quick take-up of Stage Three has far exceeded our expectations and allowed us to roll out The Last Wave much sooner than anticipated,” Mr Jobber said.

Trish Lind from Assets Agents who is marketing Kula on behalf of Turrisi Properties said since the release of Stage Three in March, 80 per cent of the available townhouses had sold, with the remaining two expected to be snapped up quickly.

“I’m thrilled to be welcoming such strong interest from locals, with 85 percent of sales in the last 12 months being to local owner-occupiers,” Mrs Lind said.

“It’s been some years since the Sunshine Coast property market has seen this level of sustained buyer activity.”

Mr Jobber said construction of Stage Three was scheduled for completion later this month, with residents moving in as early as August.

“We’ll then turn all our attention to Stage Four, commencing construction in August and aiming for completion early next year,” Mr Jobber said.

“Given the current momentum in the market, we’re confident we’ll be sold out by Christmas.”

Townhouses in The Last Wave offer high ceilings, stone bench tops, stainless steel appliances, secure car accommodation, private courtyards and access to the development’s 20-metre pool and barbecue area. Some are configured with living and the master bedroom upstairs to capture sweeping southerly views over the nearby bushland reserve.

Two-bedroom townhouses are priced from $395,000 and three-bedroom options start at $450,000, with a fully furnished display unit available for inspection now.
