Acclaimed leadership coach joins speaker line-up

May 20, 2014

He’s helped celebrities, rock stars, entrepreneurs, world champion athletes and CEOs around the world, and now, internationally-acclaimed leadership coach and creator of Modern Psychology Alistair Horscroft is set to share his wealth of human behavioural knowledge with the Sunshine Coast business community on 29 May as part of the 2014 Sunshine Coast Business Expo.

Sunshine Coast Business Expo Chair Ross Hepworth said the addition of Mr Horscroft to the Expo program had once again affirmed the event’s status as one of the Sunshine Coast’s premier business events.

“We’re thrilled to have Alistair joining the stellar speaker line-up at this year’s Expo and sharing strategies for maximising business performance,” Mr Hepworth said.

“Just last year he was featured amongst the world’s top leadership coaches by International Coaching News Magazine and he has also developed a strong fan base following his UK television program The Life Guru.”

“Alistair joins successful businesswoman and media personality Lisa Wilkinson and CareerOne CEO Karen Lawson as well as a broad range of other dynamic speakers on the program for the 2014 event.”

Noosa resident, Mr Horscroft said his presentation at the Expo aimed to deepen attendees’ understanding of ‘real world’ human psychology.

“People really form the basis of a business; whether it’s workplace leaders and staff members or customers and suppliers, people are integral to the performance of businesses, and are a particularly important ingredient for boosting business growth,” Mr Horscroft said.

“My presentation will explore how people think, what motivates them to take action, how they make decisions and what core needs they are trying to fulfil.”

“Possessing an understanding of each of these areas will assist business owners and operators to achieve greater clarity, growth and direction in any area of their business.”

Mr Horscroft said his presentation would also consider the five fundamental ingredients required to enable both individuals and businesses to succeed: a clear vision; a firm belief in the ability to achieve; a sound strategy; effective and efficient systems; and access to accurate feedback.

“Each of these aspects can make or break a business, but the important thing is that all of them can be enhanced with the right business support and coaching,” Mr Horscroft said.

“Business owners and operators attending my seminar on day two of the Expo will be provided with a range of useful insights to help them on the way to developing a highly successful business.”

Aside from Mr Horscroft’s experience as a business coach, he is also an author, television presenter, speaker and entrepreneur, having published two books and appeared on a range of television programs in Australia and the UK. He has also studied philosophy, natural medicine, exercise physiology, psychology, hypnosis, coaching and NLP and created government-accredited courses in Modern Psychology and founded The Mind Academy at Noosa.

Mr Horscroft will speak on Thursday, 29 May at the Sunshine Coast Business Expo, to be held at the Mooloolaba Campus of TAFE Queensland East Coast. His presentation will take place in the Auditorium at 1.30pm. Admission is free.
