Russell joins RCQ Construction senior management team

Queensland-based construction company RCQ Construction has welcomed a new face to its senior management team, appointing Brett Russell as the firm’s Estimating Manager.

RCQ Construction General Manager Gavin Wuiske said having witnessed Mr Russell’s strong work ethic and attention to detail in his previous role as a Senior Estimator, he was confident of Mr Russell’s ability to successfully lead the estimating team moving forward.

“Brett is a born leader and has been a key driver in improving RCQ Construction’s documents and procedures since joining the team in late 2014, so we are delighted to see him promoted to the next level,” Mr Wuiske said.

“As a professional estimator with more than 23 years of experience in the construction industry, he has a proven track record in successfully converting profitable work in all financial climates.”

“Brett’s methodical and goal-oriented approach combined with his excellent written skills and commitment to working as part of a team ensures he is well-suited to the new role.”

Mr Russell has previously worked for a broad range of construction companies including Tomkins, Hutchinson Builders and Vantage Holdings to name a few.

Employing more than 70 staff, RCQ Construction has offices on the Sunshine Coast, as well as in Brisbane, Townsville and Mackay and is responsible for the delivery of more than $100 million worth of projects each year.

As one of Queensland’s longest standing construction companies, RCQ Construction has successfully planned and delivered a variety of major residential developments, medium density apartments, retail centres and supermarkets, commercial offices, childcare centres and hospitality venues throughout  the state.  Some of the projects currently being delivered include the Stringybark Place residential development in Buderim, Stockland’s Lux development at Brightwater and the 13-level First Light Mooloolaba Residences project.
