Floating Land: May 31 – June 9 2013

One of Australia’s leading ‘green art’ events has appointed Fresh to deliver PR & Marketing. Fresh is delighted to be working with the Sunshine Coast Council’s Creative Communities team to manage the design and delivery of the event’s marketing collateral, event program and media and sponsorship liaison for the bi-annual Floating Land festival.

Floating Land is a biennial 10-day environmental art festival held on the Sunshine Coast, that brings together international, national and local artists to explore environmental themes through art and dialogue.

The festival hosts workshops, performances, installations and presentations that use creativity as a means for generating discussion and awareness about the environment to promote learning and change.

Date: May 31 – June 9, 2013

Venue: Boreen Point at Lake Cootharaba on the Sunshine Coast with satellite locations around the region

Theme: The 2013 theme of ‘Nature’s Dialogue’ explores the intersection between artistic perspectives, the principles of natural design and community dynamics. This thematic framework is drawn from biomimicry; using the inspiration of nature for innovation in the creative industries, science, technology and culture.

Floating Land stands for a future of mutual respect, harmony and sustainability.
