Stockland Yarrabilba’s new Dixon Circuit retail precinct has officially opened, bringing 155 new local jobs to the community, further strengthening its role as a key employment hub.
The precinct will be home to a mix of nationally recognised retailers, including Hungry Jack’s, Guzman y Gomez, JAX Tyres & Auto and Subway, providing residents with greater choice and convenience closer to home.
Hungry Jack’s will welcome its first customers from 1 September, followed by Guzman y Gomez and JAX Tyres & Auto in October, with Subway expected to open soon after.
Together, these businesses will contribute 155 local jobs, adding to the approximately 1,880 existing jobs already located within Yarrabilba and supporting a total of almost 3,900 ongoing jobs across the broader region, according to the latest Think Economics Employment Model[1].
Stockland Senior Development Manager Andrew Erzetich said the opening of Dixon Circuit’s retail precinct was another important step in Yarrabilba’s evolution as a place where people can live and work, with access to jobs and everyday services close to home.
“Supporting local employment has always been an important part of the vision for Yarrabilba, so seeing another 155 jobs delivered through the opening of Dixon Circuit’s retail precinct is a fantastic outcome for the community,” Mr Erzetich said.
“Yarrabilba already supports 1,880 onsite jobs, and that number is expected to continue growing as the community develops.
“We’re seeing a more diverse employment base emerge across retail, hospitality, health, education, construction and professional services, creating more opportunities for people to build their careers closer to where they live.”
Hungry Jack’s General Manager Queensland, Chris Smith Churchmichael, said the Yarrabilba restaurant reflected the company’s commitment to supporting growing communities across Southeast Queensland.
“Our Yarrabilba restaurant opening reflects our commitment to serving the growing communities in the Southeast Queensland growth corridor,” Mr Smith Churchmichael said.
“Alongside our franchisee Jason Harrington, we’re proud to have created 75 local jobs through the new Yarrabilba restaurant and are excited to bring Hungry Jack’s better burgers to Dixon Circuit.”
The retail precinct includes approximately 8,000 square metres of lettable space across food and dining, showroom, automotive and indoor recreation uses, as well as 287 on-site car parks.
Callum Macgregor, Executive Manager – Group Property & Assets at JAX Tyres & Auto, said the business is looking forward to joining the growing Yarrabilba community when it opens its doors in October.

Mr Erzetich added that the opening of Dixon Circuit Stage 1 reflected Stockland’s ongoing investment in jobs, services and infrastructure for the growing Yarrabilba community.
“As Yarrabilba grows, we’re seeing more businesses choose to establish themselves locally, giving residents greater access to jobs, services and everyday convenience close to home,” Mr Erzetich said.
“Dixon Circuit Stage 1 is the first part of a broader retail and services offering for Yarrabilba, with a dedicated bulky goods retail precinct planned as part of Stage 2 and further tenant announcements to come.”
Commercial uses planned at Yarrabilba include the future town centre, two district centres, five neighbourhood centres and the mixed industry business area (MIBA) precinct, that collectively support significant retail, commercial, industrial and community land uses.
The community will also include 9 schools on completion, including a mix of government and private schools.
