Stockland Aura celebrated its Monster Machine Day event on Saturday 7 October, showcasing the machinery shaping the future of Aura.

Delivered for the first time, this free event provided an opportunity for Aura residents to safely explore the display of monster-sized machines including excavators, dozers and dump trucks that are helping to build the thriving community.

Stockland Aura Project Director, Josh Sondergeld said he was delighted to see such a great turnout for the celebration.

“So many families call Aura home and we are excited that we were able to share an opportunity for residents to get up close with the machines that are being used in its construction,” said Mr Sondergeld.

“With a population of 10,000 people who have already chosen to call the masterplanned community home, Aura provides access to great amenities and infrastructure including local schools and over 20 parks and playgrounds, enhancing liveability for its residents.

“This inaugural family friendly event was such a success and gave our young kids the chance to take some cool photos with these massive machines and even meet “Digger” the friendly Shadforth mascot.

“The kids definitely enjoyed being involved in such a fun-filled day, with even the littlest Aura locals embracing the opportunity to wear hard hats as part of the event’s activities.

“From massive excavators to monstrous dump trucks, these mechanical giants have played a pivotal role in constructing the foundations of our vibrant Aura neighbourhood.”

With the assistance of their ‘Monster Machines’, Shadforth has successfully completed a multitude of significant projects within Aura, including the completion of over 5,000 lots, construction of four bridges, installation of over 90 kilometres of stormwater infrastructure, over 100 kilometres of sewer infrastructure, the construction of over 90 kilometres of roads and the delivery of 8.1 million cubic metres of earthworks.
