Ensuring clients feel empowered and supported while navigating their personal injury claim is a key priority for newly appointed Senior Associate at Travis Schultz & Partners (TSP), Nicole Forbes.

Ms Forbes, who began her legal career in 2009 and has been heavily involved in compensation law since, brings a breadth of experience in helping those who have been injured through no fault of their own.

“Apart from achieving the best outcome for my clients, what I love about my work is helping people to see the light when they feel most defeated by taking them on the legal journey so they know they’re not alone and feel included as we conquer the process together,” Ms Forbes said.

Travis Schultz & Partners Chief Executive Officer Kelly Phelps said Ms Forbes’ addition to the fast-growing team is a big win for the firm, in particular its Brisbane office where she will be based for the majority of her work.

“Securing someone with so much experience in motor vehicle, public liability and workers’ compensation claims only increases the breadth and merit to the service our team brings to the Queensland community,” Ms Phelps said.

“As well as being genuinely passionate about compensation law, Nicole believes in seeking justice for her clients as efficiently as possible to minimise the impact on their settlement funds, which clearly aligns with our values of fairness, respect and compassion. We are thrilled to welcome her to the TSP family.”

In addition to her work at TSP, Ms Forbes is also a member of the Queensland Law Society and Australian Lawyers Alliance.

“We often talk about selecting people by attitude over aptitude. Finding smart people is important but what’s as important for us is finding people that are the right fit for our culture and Nicole brings both these attributes to our firm,” Ms Phelps said.

“We foster a team that shares values, is driven to work towards a common mission and are generally nice people to be around. We strive to cultivate a positive culture and take care of our team because a happy team ensures happy clients.”

TSP was founded in 2018 with the aim of doing compensation law differently, offering cutting-edge expertise, without the price tag. It now boasts six, and soon to be seven, Queensland Law Society (QLS) Accredited Specialists working from offices in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and Cairns.
