2011 Gymnastics Queensland Regional Championships

May 7, 2011

Gymnasts from across the region will compete in the men’s and women’s gymnastics (MG and WG) disciplines of the Gymnastics Queensland Regional State Championships in various locations across the State during May.

The events will see young gymnasts from clubs across Queensland compete on apparatus such as the vault, rings, parallel bars, horizontal bars and pommel horse as well as completing floor routines to demonstrate a series of tumbles and other strength and flexibility displays.

Kym Dowdell, Gymnastics Queensland Chief Executive Director said organisers were looking forward to seeing a high calibre of the gymnasts in action over the event and encouraged those with an interest in gymnastics to attend.

“These events are a great day out for the family and a wonderful opportunity to support local gymnasts competing against the best in the region,” said Ms Dowdell.
