2014 Gymnastics QLD Junior Regional Championships (Far North QLD)

Gymnasts from across the region will converge in Cairns this weekend to compete in the 2014 Far North Queensland Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Junior Regional Championships at Barron Valley Gymnastics Club on Sunday, 10 August.
The event will see 30 gymnasts from four clubs compete on apparatus such as the vault, parallel bars, high bar, pommel, rings as well as completing floor routines to demonstrate a series of tumbles and other strength and flexibility displays.
Kym Dowdell, Gymnastics Queensland Chief Executive Director said organisers were looking forward to seeing a high calibre of the gymnasts in action over the event and encouraged those with an interest in gymnastics to attend.
“Gymnastics is a great spectator sport and these events always prove popular with families who either have an interest in the sport or who have young children thinking about getting involved,” said Ms Dowdell.
“The Gymnastics Queensland Regional Championship events provide a wonderful opportunity for the community to support local gymnasts who will compete against the best in the region. We wish all our gymnasts the best of luck and look forward to a great championship.”
