Stage Two of Flame Tree Pocket 80% sold
March 3, 2015
Following the quick sell-out of Stage One of the Flame Tree Pocket development in Sippy Downs late last year, Reed Property Group is once again buoyed by the positive response with over 80 per cent of Stage Two selling out within the first few weeks of the campaign.
Reed Property Group Head of Development Jay Emmerton said he was thrilled to have the project progressing ahead of schedule following the strong interest in first two stages.
“There is certainly a very high demand for these allotments and their attractive price point, ranging from $175,000 for land and $360,000 for house and land packages, has struck a chord with those looking to live in this popular Coast location,” Mr Emmerton said.
Mr Emmerton said strong sales in recent months were reflective of a marked shift in buyer confidence over the past year.
“It has been really encouraging to watch the property cycle evolve and gain momentum over the past 12 months. While we always expected the affordable land here at Flame Tree Pocket would strike a chord with savvy local buyers, the response to the first two stages definitely surpassed our expectations.”
“It’s great news for both the Sunshine Coast region and the broader economy. With rental vacancies still sitting below one per cent in the region, we have seen keen interest from investors as well as those first time home owners and young families looking to secure long-term certainty in a buoyant property market.”
Flame Tree Pocket Sales Executive Cathie Price said the popularity of the development could be attributed to its central location in the heart of Sippy Downs as well as its affordable price-point.
“With the region’s population continuing to grow steadily and housing across the Sunshine Coast in hot demand, Flame Tree Pocket has ticked many boxes for many buyers looking to make a purchase in the sub-$400,000 and $500,000 bracket,” Ms Price said.
“The development is one of the only land releases on the Sunshine Coast in a number of years offering house and land packages at entry-level price points without compromising on proximity to transport links and key amenities, so it’s easy to see why it’s attracting so much demand.”
“In fact, the feedback we’re receiving from purchasers and prospective buyers is that the nearby University and schools, retail outlets and thriving local community played a significant role in attracting them to the development.”
Stage Two of Flame Tree Pocket is comprised of 37 allotments of various sizes and backs on to a vegetation corridor that provides both privacy and a bush backdrop. Construction has already commenced and completion of Stage Two is anticipated by mid-2015.
“Construction of the sales office is now underway and we look forward to its completion later this month,” Mr Emmerton said.
“Flame Tree Pocket is coming to life and it’s great to see the vision we’ve had for this great parcel of land start to become a reality.”
