Providence Playlist has returned in full swing on the first Saturday of each month at Stockland Providence, with a spectacular line up of music acts, savoury and sweet food trucks, as well as the new addition of children’s entertainment.

The next event will be held on Saturday 7 October from 4-7pm at Providence’s amphitheatre located at 6 Amity Way in South Ripley. It will feature popular country and modern musician Laura Frank with partner Nick Morrissey and food trucks ‘My Latino Fusion’ and ‘Whisk N Flip Pancakes & Waffles’.

The additional free children’s activities include bubble artists, hula hoop dancers, face painting and cookie decorating, and children can also enjoy the Splash ‘n’ Play Adventure Park next to the amphitheatre.

Stockland Providence Project Director David Franklin said Stockland was delighted to be sponsoring the event once again with the support of the Ripley Markets.

“Since early 2022, Providence Playlist has been bringing free entertainment to the amphitheatre, not only providing a platform for local musicians to showcase their talent, but also as a place for food truck vendors to set up stall,” Mr Franklin said.

“Events such as these showcase the lifestyle that residents in our communities love, bringing together the thriving Providence community and enabling neighbours to get to know one another a little better.”

More than 100 people enjoyed the first event held last month, but Event Manager Vicki Martin said there was still room for more locals to come down and soak up the atmosphere.

“We’re enjoying working with Stockland to create a fun, family event. We really love our community at Providence, they are supportive, they love to be social and they love supporting local businesses,” Ms Martin said.

“I think it’s important that we keep offering this type of outdoor entertainment for our families. The community connection it provides is great for both mental and physical health.”

Event organisers are offering the first 40 families/groups who attend the October Providence Playlist a $10 voucher to redeem at the food truck of their choice.*

Providence Playlist will be held on the first Saturday of each month until April 2024. For more information on the Providence Playlist events, please visit https://www.stockland.com.au/residential/qld/providence/news-and-events/playlist
