Meet the Sunshine Coast’s most outstanding business women for 2011

Tonight the highly anticipated 2011 Business Woman of the Year Awards was held at The Event Centre, Caloundra with the award for the Outstanding Business Woman of the Year going to Kim McCosker of 4 Ingredients Enterprises, which has the biggest selling self-published cookbooks in Australian publishing history.

Winners were also chosen across five categories namely Carolyn Thomson from Kadoe Commercial Coatings as the Professional Business Woman of the Year, Dena Dillon from Piper Digital Marketing as the Corporate Business Woman of the Year, Vickie Magic from Business Matters Magazine as the Micro/Small Business Woman of the Year, Julie Jacobson from Holmans Accounting & Financial Planning as the Young Business Woman of the Year and Jennifer Forster from Goal Power Training as the Sports Woman of the Year.

President of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network, Sue Willis said that the awards have become recognised as the most prestigious for Sunshine Coast women and highly sought after with this year being no exception.

“Once again the judges were very impressed with the remarkable contribution by this year’s finalists which reflect the high calibre of business women on the Coast. Every finalist has an amazing story to share on their achievement, dedication and success which often makes deciding on the overall winner a difficult task,” said Sue.

“We look forward to working with these incredible women throughout the year so that they may inspire other women in our network and also within the greater community to appreciate their own business and personal potential.”

“We would like to thank our valuable sponsors for their involvement in this year’s awards and their continued support of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network, namely Garland Waddington Solicitors, Telstra Business, The Events Centre Caloundra, University of the Sunshine Coast, Weekender and Advance Sports Sunshine Coast,” Sue said.
