Garden Expo attracts record crowds

July 11, 2011

Thousands of excited gardeners, families and visitors converged on the Queensland Garden Expo over the weekend to see innovative new products, plants, hundreds of exhibitors, landscape designers and leading horticultural experts.

The three-day event attracted a record crowd with over 30,000 visitors coming from Bundaberg, Roma and as far afield as NSW. The Sunshine Coast turned on the weather for delighted visitors as gardening enthusiasts and families flocked through the gates, keen to soak up the atmosphere and explore the incredible array of plants, products and exhibits on offer.

Event Manager Marion Beazley said they couldn’t have asked for a better result with numbers up and exhibitors thrilled with the public response.

“We always knew this Expo was going to be bigger and better than before. The showgrounds were a hive of activity across the whole weekend so it was great to see it all come together,” said Marion.

Congratulations goes to Robyn Schutt of Cooroy, winner of the Amazing Beijing grand prize.

Ends.
