The countdown is on for the opening of Aura Home + Life, with the new 20,000sqm large format retail precinct set to welcome customers from 17 August, ahead of an official opening celebration on 21 August.
Developed by Capital Property Group, the $80 million precinct is now fully tenanted with the announcement of its final three retailers, TK Maxx, Adairs and Baby Bunting, alongside food and beverage operator Café 63, completing a strong line-up of national brands that will deliver a major new shopping destination for the southern Sunshine Coast.
The new retailers join Rebel, The Good Guys, Spotlight, Anaconda, Harris Scarfe, Supercheap Auto, Beacon Lighting, Petstock and Pillow Talk, creating a convenient one-stop destination for home, lifestyle, fashion, sporting, automotive and family essentials.
Capital Property Group Head of Property Richard Snow said the calibre of retailers choosing Aura Home + Life reflected growing confidence in the Sunshine Coast and the long-term potential of the Aura community.
“National retailers don’t make location decisions based purely on what’s here today – they’re investing based on where communities are heading over the next 10 to 20 years,” Mr Snow said.
“Aura has reached the point where those long-term fundamentals are impossible to ignore, and that’s reflected in the quality of brands opening their doors here.”
Spotlight Group’s Executive Deputy Chairman, Zac Fried will be opening three brands in the centre.
“Aura Home + Life represents an exciting opportunity for Spotlight Group to bring three of Australia’s most trusted retail brands together in one convenient destination. With Spotlight, Anaconda and Harris Scarfe all opening at the centre, we are creating a true one-stop shopping experience that caters to the Sunshine Coast’s growing and diverse community,” Mr Fried said.
“The Sunshine Coast continues to be one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions, and Aura Home + Life is perfectly positioned to meet the needs of local families, homemakers, outdoor enthusiasts and lifestyle-focused customers.
“We are delighted to be part of this new retail destination and look forward to welcoming customers through our doors and becoming a long-term contributor to the Aura community.”
Mr Snow said the momentum continued to build at Aura Home + Life, with retailers now completing the final fit-out of their stores ahead of opening.
“Interior fit-outs are now well underway across the precinct and it’s rewarding to see years of planning taking shape as Aura Home + Life prepares to welcome its first customers this month,” Mr Snow said.
“This retail precinct will create hundreds of local jobs while giving residents from Aura, Caloundra and the wider southern Sunshine Coast access to a broader range of national retailers much closer to home.
“At Capital Property Group we’re proud to be delivering the retail infrastructure that this growing community needs, both now and into the future.”
Located on the corner of Graf Drive and Aura Boulevard, adjacent to the Aura Business Park, Aura Home + Life offers convenient access from the Bells Creek Arterial Road and Bruce Highway and provides around 400 car parks.
The precinct features 12 large-format retail tenancies ranging from approximately 350sqm to 5,000sqm which, together with food and beverage outlet Café 63, create a modern shopping destination designed to support the region’s continued growth.
The official opening event will be held on 21 August, and the community is invited to a Community Day celebration on Saturday 12 September from 10am to 1pm, featuring free children’s activities.
