Locals will have the rare chance to get up close to some of the biggest machines shaping Springfield Rise when Stockland hosts a free community Monster Machine Day this month.

The family-friendly event will take place on Saturday 20 June at Spring Mountain, featuring a display of large-scale construction machinery including dozers, dump trucks, excavators and Moxy water trucks currently being used to help deliver new stages of the growing community.

The event coincides with the continued release of land in The Grove ‒ Springfield Rise’s newest 581-lot precinct ‒ which launched to market in March and is now releasing land monthly in response to strong buyer demand.

Stockland Senior Development Manager Katie Cullen said the event was designed to give local families a behind-the-scenes look at the machinery helping shape their community while creating a fun and engaging day out for children.

“Monster Machine Day is all about bringing the community together and giving families the chance to experience these incredible machines in a safe and interactive environment,” Ms Cullen said.

“These are the types of machines children often spot from a distance while driving past construction sites, so it’s exciting to be able to let them get up close, take photos and even jump into some of the machinery.

“We know from previous events there is huge interest from local families, particularly young children who are fascinated by these larger-than-life vehicles.”

Ms Cullen said the event also reflected the strong local interest in Springfield Rise, with almost 44 per cent of enquiries currently coming from within the Springfield 4300 postcode.

“We’re continuing to see strong demand from local owner-occupiers looking to upgrade within the area, with upgraders accounting for more than 40 per cent of enquiries[1],” she said.

“The Grove will feature its own central park while connecting seamlessly into Springfield Rise’s existing network of nine parks and three major recreation hubs – including Silver Jubilee Park, Mountain Park and the Springfield Central Sporting Complex – as part of more than 50 hectares of open space and parks across the community.”

The free event will include roving entertainment, ride-on mini diggers and dump trucks, food and coffee vans, face painting, a lolly station and goodie bags.

“Shadforth, the civil contractor helping deliver Springfield Rise, will supply the impressive fleet of machinery featured at the event and we expect they’ll attract a crowd,” Ms Cullen said.

“We recently hosted a similar Monster Machine Day at Kings Forest in northern New South Wales, which saw more than 500 attendees. We’re looking forward to bringing the same excitement and community spirit to Springfield Rise.”

Monster Machine Day will be held from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday 20 June at the end of West Hill Avenue, Spring Mountain.
