Melbourne Cup event with frocks, frivolity and fillies!

October 18, 2012

After successfully raising almost $2,000 for the McGrath Foundation ‘Girls Night Out’ event earlier this month, the winning combination of the Caf Coolum and Watermelon Red will once again roll out the red carpet for guests at a Melbourne Cup lunch on November 6.

The event will give locals the opportunity to get a little ‘frocked up’ with the winner of Fashions on the Field enjoying a breakfast for six cooked in their home by Caf chef, Simon in the weeks after the event.

The Caf Coolum’s Di Stevenson said the Girls Night Out event had been such a success with guests loving the combination of great food and drinks from the cafe and the fun, energetic fashion parade from Watermelon Red.

“Melbourne Cup is all about getting into the spirit of racing carnivals and we’re encouraging guests to dress up a little for the occasion,” said Di.

“We’ll be celebrating the race that stops the nation in style so hopefully will see some show-stopping outfits as our guests enjoy live entertainment, sweepstakes, a fashion parade and much more.”

Tickets are $65 per head which includes a 3-course set menu, 2 complimentary drinks per person and lots of fun and entertainment throughout the afternoon. Lunch commences at 12 noon and seats are limited so please call 0417 247 593 to book your tickets.
